1 Exploratory Meeting
During the Exploratory Meeting, you will meet with a team from Purdue University Online that includes the Executive Director for Academic Affairs, the Managing Director for New Professional, Continuing, and Online Offerings, and the Managing Director for the College that you represent. During this meeting, we will ask you questions about your proposal and identify the resources that are needed for your project. Then, we will schedule a project scoping call with Purdue University Online leaders on the Course Production team, Marketing Team, Operations and Student Support Team, and Business Partnerships Team as needed.
2 Project Scoping
During the Project Scoping Meeting(s), we will ask you probing questions about your project so that we can help you create a budget that will ensure your project’s success. If you are creating a new course, for example, we will include a representative from our Course Production Team to scope the project to identify the appropriate level of instructional design support that you need. We can also provide student acquisition services (marketing and recruiting), student support (student success coaching, advising, program management, and admissions support), and business partnerships services to meet the needs of the grant. We can also provide a market-based justification for your proposal based on labor market needs through competitor benchmarking and job posting analysis.
Additionally, we have a compendium of research available and we may be able to contribute sections to your grant proposal about best practices in online teaching and learning. We also have statements about Purdue University Online that we can provide for your proposal if needed.
3 Grant Approval
During this time, we expect it may take several months before hearing back from the funding agency. Please keep us apprised to the status as you learn more so that we can prepare for your project if it gets funded. Once your project is funded, please submit a Notice of Intent.
4 Implementation & Execution
Purdue University Online will provide administrative support for your project at your pace. Once your grant is funded, we will identify an implementation timeline and provide support for your project. We will ensure that your project is offered to students and that you are provided the services budgeted in your proposal.
5 Launch & Continuous Support
The program is live and ready to go. Purdue University Online will provide continuous support for your project as outlined in the grant proposal.
