STORYLINE

As the world moves through the COVID-19 pandemic, Day says that there has never been a more important time to plan a vacation. Taking a break can help rejuvenate mental health, create connections with family and lead to happy memories that last a lifetime.

Day says that Purdue is leading a project called the Travel Care Code, which focuses on informing people on how to travel more responsibly. He recommends that people travel with a concern for the environment, be respectful of the places that they visit and spend money on local experiences that benefit these communities. Day says that some of the most sustainable things that people can do are actually some of the best experiences they can have.
