Workshop to focus on copyright in teaching, research

October 19, 2012

An Oct. 26 workshop will provide an overview of the U.S. copyright law as it applies to teaching and research in higher education.

"Copyright in Teaching and Research: How Does It Work?" will be presented by Donna Ferullo, director of the University Copyright Office, at 9-10 a.m. in Stewart Center, Room 202. The workshop also will highlight major court cases such as Google, Georgia State and Hathi Trust, which recently have been decided.

Light refreshments will be served.

The workshop is geared toward faculty, but anyone is welcome to attend. RSVP to Pat Irvin at pirvin@purdue.edu. Attendance is limited to 50.
