Shah Lab's Innovation for International Development (I2D) Exposition invites student poster abstracts

The Innovation for International Development Exposition hosted by Purdue’s Shah Family Global Lab invites undergraduate and graduate students to submit a poster for this year’s virtual exposition. Participants must register online by 11:59 p.m. Feb 23 and upload posters by 11:59 p.m. April 1. Online registration also includes an optional abstract submission.

The poster session is open to any team, undergraduates or graduates, working on an innovation for international development. Students and researchers from all backgrounds, fields and colleges across campus are invited to participate. Topics should be related to social development challenges, sustainable development goals or global grand challenges. Sample topics include low-cost appropriate technologies for energy access, agricultural production and processing mechanization, water and sanitation solutions, health care technologies for the developing world, humanitarian response solutions, labor-saving innovations, or information and communication technologies for education or economic development.

After the registration deadline, registered student individuals and teams will be invited to submit a PDF file of their final posters and a 3½-minute video showcasing their poster. Judges will score all posters and accompanied video presentations. Videos of three winning posters will be showcased during the I2D Exposition’s Poster Award session scheduled for April 21 via Zoom. The poster session is open to Purdue students, faculty and staff members across the University. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three posters ($750, $500, $250).
