Nicholas Neuman, a Purdue junior majoring in agricultural economics and political science, is the proud recipient of a 2025 Harry S. Truman Scholarship. A recognition of leadership and academic excellence for students committed to public service, the scholarship is awarded annually to roughly 60 college juniors across the United States — with Neuman’s award being Purdue’s fifth in eight years.
Purdue researchers across all campuses and academic disciplines have recently received 12 patents on their intellectual property from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Most of these innovations are available to license and bring to market.

Purdue students in Indianapolis will present their innovative research and creative projects, providing an opportunity for faculty, staff, alumni and local residents to engage with the next generation of innovators and scholars.
Purdue students in the John Martinson Honors College are exploring the intersection of literature and typography in professor Pete Moore’s Bookworks course. Held at the PrintBay, the class teaches students to analyze, design, produce and distribute a book using the studio’s five printing presses. The PrintBay is a center for the study of letterpress printing, a historic process of using a raised surface to transfer ink onto paper by direct impression.
