Purdue continues to elevate its graduate learning and research efforts across multiple disciplines, placing 12 academic programs in the top 10 of the U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 edition of its best graduate school rankings. Purdue’s engineering college jumped one spot to No. 5 (tied with Caltech) in the survey released Tuesday (April 8), with five engineering disciplines surging into the top five and 10 among the top 10 in the U.S. among more than 220 public and private engineering schools ranked. Purdue also is the leading engineering program in the 18-member Big Ten.

The Board of Trustees approved a three-year, $7.8 million contract with SP Plus (SP+), a Metropolis company, to provide free transit services with expanded campus routes for students, staff and faculty at the West Lafayette location. The contract begins July 1 and runs through June 30, 2028, with SP+ service scheduled to start Aug. 25, the first day of fall semester classes.
