About the Purdue author 

Gordon Pennock is an associate professor of mechanical engineering at Purdue. His research interests include kinematic synthesis and analysis, robotics and multi-degree-of-freedom mechanisms.

Pennock’s awards and recognitions include the American Society of Mechanical Engineers’ A.T. Yang Memorial Award and Purdue’s Ruth and Joel Spira Award for outstanding contributions to the School of Mechanical Engineering and its students.
