This week’s ‘Thumbs Up’ recipients
Jennifer Sibray
Jennifer Sibray (Office of the Registrar): Thank you for your assistance in helping one of my students! — Katie May (College of Pharmacy)
Purdue Polytechnic Institute academic advisors
Purdue Polytechnic Institute academic advisors: Summer is never a slow season for academic advising. The Polytechnic advisors have been working hard, meeting with new beginners and transfer students for several weeks and continuing until July 9. After that, it’s working with those same students on schedule changes in preparation for the fall semester. This is a great team doing great things for our future Boilermakers. — Jacqueline Brown, Tami Lynch and T.R. Oneal (all Purdue Polytechnic Institute)
Chris Marheine, Shannon Vanhoosier and Meridith Slager
Chris Marheine, Shannon Vanhoosier and Meridith Slager (all IT Enterprise Solutions): Thank you all for the phenomenal work that you have done to support us in some major projects that have come our way without advance knowledge. You always make things happen! Your assistance is noticed and appreciated! — Kim Watley (Office of the Registrar)
Shelby Haugen and Erin Fetter
Shelby Haugen and Erin Fetter (Finance): Shelby and Erin both assisted in getting a purchase order expedited so that we could get a technician out to Kepner to work on a specialized HVAC unit that had failed this week. — David Harmon (College of Engineering)
Zenephia Evans
Zenephia Evans (Office of the Dean of Students): Thank you to Zenephia Evans for helping me resolve an issue! I appreciate your kindness and patience with getting the issue fixed. — Katie May (College of Pharmacy)
Tim Walton
Tim Walton (Operations and Maintenance): Tim has been instrumental with aiding in restoring BoilerTV to the campus after the recent outages. Tim was quick to jump in and figure out the issues causing the outages. He has spent extra time past normal working hours to make sure service is restored as quickly as possible. Without Tim’s knowledge and dedication to his work within the electronics shop, as well as the BTV cable system, these issues would have likely taken considerably longer to remedy. Tim, thank you for going above and beyond! — Ryan Diener (Operations and Maintenance)
Naomi Rivera
Naomi Rivera (Office of Graduate Admissions): Naomi always goes way beyond what is expected to help and assist our graduate students. She is always making herself available to help her team when necessary and works hard to make sure that her job is done to the best of her ability, always exceeding expectations. Her work ethic and drive stand out stupendously. Thanks, Naomi, for your dedication to the graduate students and your team! — Anonymous
Zach Cox
Zach Cox (Procurement Services): I would like to thank Zach for always being such a helpful resource to not only our team, but also universities, for everything Ariba. I appreciate his attentiveness and wealth of knowledge. Recently, Amazon and the University of Nebraska were running into an Ariba issue with their catalog, and Zach worked with our Amazon representative and the Nebraska team to help them figure out the issue. Thank you, Zach, for going above and beyond to help our vendor and another university. You’re a rockstar! — Suzi Manns (Procurement Services)
