John Pearson

John Pearson (Undergraduate Advising): John has been in our office less than a year but has stepped up in a big way this summer. Between transitioning the Bridge program to this office, meeting all continuing Indianapolis students who want to earn a minor, and serving on the registration appeals committee, he’s also found time to assist in a variety of areas, including helping the Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business by seeing some of its new students. Thanks, John! — Jeff Elliott (Undergraduate Advising)

Brett Camp, Alan Farrester, Brandon Rose and Dakota Brouillette

Brett Camp, Alan Farrester, Brandon Rose and Dakota Brouillette (all Operations and Maintenance): This Bull Gang crew has been wonderful to work with. I had many requests of them, from moving furniture from across campus to our building and in and out of different rooms to placing shelves onto brackets high above heads. They did everything I requested and had so much patience with all that I needed accomplished. Thank you, gentlemen, for all your hard work. It was greatly appreciated on a hot day. — Kristy Bennett (Curriculum and Instruction)

Those who helped repair fiber optic cables

Those who helped repair fiber optic cables: There were a couple of fiber optic cables cut and damaged on a tunnel top replacement project in front of Lilly Hall of Life Sciences. This caused a network service disruption to a few buildings around the area of the cut cables. One of the fiber cables that was damaged fed network to Oliver Perkins Terry House (TERY). This would have been very problematic had those fibers not held up until the cable was repaired. Tim Walton, Jason Midgett, Ryan Rife, Derek Heacock, Clint Altman and Mike Powell (all Operations and Maintenance) volunteered to stay after hours and pull in new fiber optic cable from Martin C. Jischke Hall of Biomedical Engineering to TERY to avoid them losing service. I would like to recognize them for their efforts, sacrificing their personal time to uphold the values of Operations and Maintenance and providing a professional and quick response to an urgent issue. Thank you, gentlemen, for all your hard work! — Ryan Diener (Operations and Maintenance)

Materials Management Administration team

Materials Management Administration team: I have worked with the incredible staff at the Materials Management and Distribution Center for the past six years. Garth Golleher, Jeff Pearson, Wade McCarty, Tom Tibbett, Tom Phelps, Susan Ticen and Patty Turner have always provided superlative care and service and make up a kind and wonderful team. They work extremely hard behind the scenes and are not adequately celebrated. Three cheers to all of you for all that you do for everyone at Purdue! — Elizabeth Mercier (Language and Culture)

Jackie Thomas-Miller, Erin Schultz, Josh Roadruck and Preethi Vaidyanathan

Jackie Thomas-Miller, Erin Schultz, Josh Roadruck and Preethi Vaidyanathan (all College of Education): I’d like to thank the College of Education advisors for being so conscientious with their students. They always put the needs of the student and what’s in their best interest first! — Jennifer Rosselot Wilkins (College of Health and Human Sciences)
