Campus community should plan ahead for event parking this Friday, Oct. 18

Fall 2020 Campus Scenes

The campus community should plan ahead for parking the afternoon and evening of Thursday, Oct. 17, and throughout the day Friday, Oct. 18, as game-day parking changes will be in force. The university recognizes the impact this has on faculty, staff and students and has added alternate parking locations with dedicated shuttle service to central campus so university activities can continue uninterrupted.

Students, faculty, staff and visitors should review the parking information below before heading to campus for work or academic purposes.

Thursday, Oct. 17

  • Select parking lots will be unavailable beginning at 4 and 5 p.m. as noted on the Thursday map below.
  • Parking garages will operate normally with no pregame restrictions.

Friday, Oct. 18

  • All individuals with parking garage permits can park in their normal parking garage, will not need to move and will not be towed. Permit holders will be unable to enter the Northwestern Avenue and University Street Parking Garages beginning at 3 p.m. when event rates begin; however, they do not need to move if they are parked before 3 p.m.
  • While some lots near Ross-Ade Stadium will be closed for game-day parking per normal game-day operations (with clear signage), select lots located south of Stadium Avenue will be available until noon on Friday. These lots are highlighted on the Friday map below in dark gold.
  • All university parking south of Mitch Daniels Boulevard, except for Discovery Park lot, will be open with no ticketing or towing (except when public safety deems necessary).
  • To accommodate the closure of various parking lots, additional parking locations have been added with shuttle service available on Friday from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. The shuttle will run nonstop from Oval Drive at Memorial Mall to the locations noted in yellow on the Friday map below. Motorists should allow extra time to park and catch the shuttle. Parking attendants will be in place at each additional lot and will redirect motorists to open lots if lots become full throughout the day.
  • The Purdue Campus Connect shuttle will continue to run on Friday but will only be picking up and dropping off passengers at the Purdue Memorial Union and Stewart Center location. There will not be any stops at the France A. Córdova Recreational Sports Center on Friday.
