House to chair campaign planning committee as Purdue’s Wilcox named vice president at Penn State

On Friday (Nov. 22), it was announced that Alyssa Wilcox was named vice president for development and alumni relations at Pennsylvania State University, effective Jan. 13, 2025.
Purdue President Mung Chiang said, “Throughout her time serving Purdue in various capacities, Alyssa has demonstrated incredible dedication and professionalism, delivering impactful results for students, faculty and alumni. We thank Alyssa for her outstanding service to all Boilermakers.” An event will be scheduled in December to recognize her contributions to the university and its faculty, staff, students and alumni.
Over the past two years, Wilcox served as chief of staff in the Office of the President and as senior vice president of partnerships, and subsequently as senior vice president and chair of the University Campaign Planning Committee, leading the effort to create a roadmap for Purdue’s next capital campaign.
Chiang announced Friday that, with a smooth transition and full continuity, Tim House, who currently serves as associate vice president for development, will chair the University Campaign Planning Committee beginning Jan. 1. In this capacity, House will report to Julie Dussliere, CEO of Purdue for Life Foundation, while working closely with the vice president for development’s team at the foundation. Purdue Athletics also announced that House, who serves as executive senior associate athletics director, will be promoted to deputy athletics director effective Jan. 1 and will continue, in that capacity, to report to Executive Vice President and Athletics Director Mike Bobinski. House joined Purdue Athletics in 2018 and became head of the John Purdue Club in 2019.
