The Purdue Memorial Union will soon be full of holiday spirit as this year’s Christmas tree makes its way into the Great Hall on Friday (Nov. 22). A hot apple cider bar and ornament crafting area will be open for visitors at 11:30 a.m.; the tree will be delivered around noon.
The tree lighting ceremony will take place at 5:30-8 p.m. Nov. 25 in the Great Hall. The community is invited to enjoy musical performances and light refreshments during the ceremony.
The Purdue Memorial Union and Union Club Hotel are slated to host a variety of holiday celebrations, including a cookie decorating class, a holiday market and a “Polar Express” night with train rides and a viewing of the film.
The Purdue Student Union Board and Union Club Hotel will once again present the popular Breakfast with Santa tradition 9 a.m.-noon Dec. 7 in the Purdue Memorial Union’s North and South ballrooms. Organizers prefer tickets to be purchased in advance, but doing so is not required.
Additional details and a full calendar of events can be found on the Union’s website and within the Union Club Hotel’s 24 Days of Features promotion.
