Dave Jordan, Chris McCord and Curt Jansen

I want to thank Dave and Chris (both IT End User Experience), along with Curt (IT Security and Policy), for staying late to resolve an issue with PaperCut Mobility Print on Nov. 4. Through their testing and troubleshooting, we were able to determine the issue and fix the problem so that students could print from their own devices again. There was minimal downtime or disruption due to their willingness to stay to research the problem. Thank you! — Theresa Morgan (IT End User Experience)

Dan Rudel, Gina Zaccagnini, Andrew Harrison and Morgan Killam

Thank you to Dan (Sociology), Gina, Andrew and Morgan (all Academic Success Center) for presenting during this year’s Winter Session Success Workshops. Your expertise and insight were instrumental in preparing students for a successful winter session. — John Race (Office of Summer and Winter Sessions)

Volunteers for the Fall Undergraduate Research Expo

With over 550 student presentations from Nov. 19-20, we had a wonderful turnout of 281 volunteer judges who provided important feedback to student presenters while supporting academic units in choosing their top awards. With consistent support from the Purdue community, we can continue growing this event without losing the individualization of the evaluation process. Additionally, we had 18 day-of volunteers who helped with the expo’s operations. Thank you! — Purdue Office of Undergraduate Research

Pamela Walker-Stokes

Pam (Purdue Conferences) provided stellar service as event planner for the 2024 Radiobioassay and Radiochemical Measurements Conference (RRMC) held at the West Lafayette campus, along with a day at Indianapolis locations. I served as the chair for RRMC, a conference series that has been held for over 65 years. Pam was methodical in terms of coordinating all aspects of the conference, including registration, catering, hotel negotiations, transportation and organizing activities. She remained cheerful through a host of challenges, which was a major help to me and the approximately 190 attendees. This gave me a chance to focus on the technical and outreach aspects of the conference. I received numerous accolades for a memorable conference, which, in large part, was the result of the resourcefulness and professionalism of Purdue Conferences staff, including Chris Bishop, who I interacted with for the initial planning and strategy discussions. Kudos to Pamela, Chris and Purdue Conferences! — Rusi Taleyarkhan (Nuclear Engineering)

Bradley Dilger

Nary a day goes by when Dr. Dilger (English) isn’t willing to step up and help out the English Department. Whether helping to wrangle schedules, teaching a class at the last minute, or even sitting at the front desk for a bit, he’s always generous with his time and energy. The department would be a less awesome and amazing place to work if it weren’t for him. — Elise Taylor (English)

Linda Chaalan

Thanks to Linda (Compensation) for so patiently going above and beyond in helping me prepare a job requisition and posting. She guided me through the entire job description and requisition updates process to ensure the posting was polished and accurate. I couldn’t have done it without her and really appreciate the extra time and attention she gave. — Ange Huffman (Office of Admissions)

Angela Raver

Angela (Office of Admissions) is simply amazing! There is no mystery she cannot unravel and seemingly no task for which she cannot find a fix. She is one of those behind-the-scenes people who makes our jobs in the Office of Admissions much easier. I always appreciate her willingness to help and her cheery disposition. — Kathi Ferrero (Office of Admissions)

Charlene Fink

I want to thank Charlene (Finance) for consistently submitting recurring invoice vouchers without errors. They are always complete and have all the required backup documentation and correct authorized signatures. This is rare and saves so much time and stress when entering the payments. There’s no extra work needed, and payments can be entered quickly. Thank you, Charlene, for keeping that part of my job so efficient! — Jennifer L. Phillips (Finance and Business Operations)

Leo Smith

Leo (IT Enterprise Solutions) has consistently demonstrated exceptional technical skills and a remarkable work ethic while working on collaborative projects like the Teaching and Learning Technologies Brightspace integration maintenance project. He has created comprehensive documents that streamline efficiency and help the integration team easily sift through data usage of various tools. His get-it-done attitude has been instrumental in the project’s success. Leo’s technical skills are exemplified by his proficiency in developing and maintaining complex integrations, his ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently and his innovative approach to problem-solving. Leo’s contributions extend beyond this effort to the Chabot Piloting project, showcasing his deep knowledge of Brightspace and how the chatbots we investigate will interact with our system. His expertise has been crucial to our group’s success. Leo’s dedication and innovative thinking make working with him so enjoyable, and he’s had a significant impact on our projects and the success of our teams. — Molly Kremer and Deb Steffen (both Instructional Innovation)
