Deadline extended for spring IMPACT cohort applications
November 8, 2012
Purdue's IMPACT initiative is extending the application deadline for its spring 2013 cohort until Nov. 16. The extension is due to interest generated by the video message presented by acting President Tim Sands on IMPACT, which may be viewed at www.purdue.edu/president/video/changingclassroom.
IMPACT (Instruction Matters: Purdue Academic Course Transformation) is a campus-wide initiative begun last year by the Provost's Office for the redesign of classes. Its aim is to engage students more fully in their learning, thereby improving retention and completion in classes that serve students across the entire campus. It is related to the University's strategic plan to ensure student success as part of launching tomorrow's leaders.
For more information on the IMPACT program and the application process, contact Chantal Levesque-Bristol, director of the Center for Instructional Excellence (CIE), or visit the IMPACT website at www.purdue.edu/impact.
