Close to 500 business and community leaders on Monday (May 5) attended the Columbus Economic Development Board's Annual Meeting in Columbus, Indiana, where President Mitch Daniels was the keynote speaker.
Daniels spoke about the Purdue Moves strategic initiatives, stressed value and accountability in higher education and received enthusiastic applause when he said he would soon speak to Purdue trustees about freezing tuition for a third consecutive year.
In addition to speaking at the Economic Development Board, Daniels met with the editorial board of the Columbus Republic and with the CEOs of several Columbus-based companies.
