Purdue fountain lit to bring attention to Mental Illness Awareness Week

The Class of 1939 Water Sculpture on Purdue Mall is being lit in green Oct. 2-8 to commemorate Mental Illness Awareness Week, held annually to provide an opportunity to fight stigma, provide support, educate the public and advocate for equal care.
The Purdue student organization National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) on Campus requested the commemoration to reflect Purdue's commitment to mental health and honor those living with mental illness.
