Physical Facilities developing new West Lafayette campus master plan
Purdue University Physical Facilities has begun the extensive process of developing a new campus master plan to guide the next 10 to 15 years of development on the West Lafayette campus.
Since the completion of the last campus master plan in 2009, Purdue has adopted transformative university initiatives including Purdue Moves and the Pillars of Excellence in the Life Sciences and has engaged in innovative opportunities like the State Street Redevelopment Project and the Purdue Innovation District. These initiatives directly affect campus development and space planning, and creating a new campus master plan that considers these impactful activities will help the University move forward in a coordinated and strategic manner.
The active engagement of the University community is critical to ensuring that the new master plan, which is expected to be complete by the end of 2017, will be representative and effective. In collaboration with the partner firm for the process, Ayers Saint Gross, Physical Facilities has initiated data gathering activities and held meetings with key campus stakeholders.
Opportunities for faculty, staff and students to attend meetings and contribute to the master planning process will be offered this semester. Additional information about these meeting will be communicated in the coming weeks.
