Bjørn Lomborg, Danish environmentalist and author of "The Skeptical Environmentalist," will conclude Purdue’s Spring 2017 Presidential Lecture Series. Lomborg will join President Mitch Daniels for an hourlong conversation and audience Q&A session at 6:30 p.m. April 11 in Stewart Center’s Fowler Hall. The event is free and open to the public. Purdue's 86th annual Literary Awards will welcome renowned author Margaret Atwood to a reception, a dinner at which she will speak, and a free public reading. $ for reception/dinner. Details

Spring Fest, Purdue's family-friendly showcase of "the lighter side of higher education," will draw thousands both Saturday and Sunday. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. each day.
Includes Bug Bowl, Horticulture Show and Boiler Barnyard. A few features, notably some with live animals, are Saturday-only. Most things are free. Details

The Percussion Ensemble Concert is a whole lot more, or perhaps a whole lot less, than just a bunch of racket. It's actually quite varied, stimulating and fun. The Purduettes will present their Spring Spectacular. It's only spectacular if you like excellent song selection, fine harmonies, exciting presentation and a powerful connection between performers and audience.
