Money Smart Week seminars to share financial insights
Five days of brown-bag seminars April 24-28 will celebrate Money Smart Week and educate staff, faculty and students about important financial topics.
Each seminar will be presented or hosted by David Evans, Purdue Extension specialist in family resource management, who is housed in the Department of Consumer Science. Topics will include avoiding payday lenders, free retirement and estate planning resources, and how to buy a home. Evans says the seminars will have a low-key approach with plenty of serious information. For more information, email daevans@purdue.edu.
The week marks Money Smart Week as celebrated by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, one of the 12 regional banks in the Federal Reserve System. The seminars also involve local nonprofit financial service providers.
