Benefitfocus is now available for use
Human Resources would like to inform faculty and staff that Benefitfocus, the new benefit enrollment and management tool, is now available for use.
Faculty and staff can access Benefitfocus via OneCampus. Active benefits-eligible employees will sign on using their Purdue career account username and password. (Inactive, separated employees -- retirees under age 65, long-term disability and COBRA participants -- will also begin at OneCampus, but will need to choose the applicable Benefitfocus button and create a new username and password as first-time users.)
Benefitfocus will now be used for:
* Adding life insurance beneficiaries. Letters were mailed to employees’ homes with detailed information on updating their beneficiaries. All are asked to do this as soon as possible.
* Life events (change in family status).
* Adjusting HSA contributions.
* New hire enrollments.
* Reviewing personal benefit summaries.
A dedicated web page is in place to assist faculty and staff through the transition to the new tool. The web page contains many useful resources including detailed instructions on updating beneficiaries and important changes to be aware of. Coming up in August, graduate staff on the West Lafayette campus will use the new tool for their benefits enrollment process, and then in late October, employees on all campuses will enroll for 2018 benefits coverage during the annual open enrollment via Benefitfocus.
