Purdue football welcoming Ohio for home opener

Purdue football, in its home opener, takes on Ohio University at 8 p.m. today (Sept. 8) in Ross-Ade Stadium. The game is the first Friday night home game in program history and the first under the new permanent Ross-Ade Stadium lights.

FRIDAY

Boilermaker Crossing: Purdue fans can meet the teams, play on inflatable games and more at the family-friendly Boilermaker Crossing at 5-7:30 p.m. Friday at Sally and Bob Weist Plaza north of Mackey Arena. The event is free.

Tailgate concert: Purdue jazz bands will perform at 6 p.m. at Slayter Hill.

Purdue football vs. Ohio University: The game starts at 8 p.m. at Ross-Ade Stadium. Ticket information is available here.

Post-game concert: The Purdue "All-American" Marching Band will march shortly after the game to Purdue Mall and perform there.

NEXT WEEKEND

Cross country: Purdue will host the Indiana Intercollegiates at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 15 on its cross country course south of Schwartz Tennis Center at Northwest Athletics Complex. Cross country
