Purdue Motorsports to host call out for autonomous race team

Purdue Motorsports is holding a callout for its new autonomous racing division, which will be part of the evGrandPrix held each May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The call out is 6 p.m. Sept. 19 in Forney Hall, Room 1043. Students should bring their résumés to the event.

The series will touch on areas such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer programming and the latest autonomous control systems. The 2018 season will focus on teaching students through the use of remote control cars and will move to full autonomy in 2019.
