Union thinking summer with bowling special, movie showing
Union Rack and Roll once again is offering a summertime "Strike 'n' Lunch" bowling special for Purdue faculty and staff. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday-Friday through Aug. 11, faculty/staff members showing their Purdue ID will receive one game of bowling and shoe rental for $3 per person.
This is the second year of this special at Union Rack and Roll, which also offers billiards and other amusements. The center is in Purdue Memorial Union, all the way down the stairs by the Grant Street entrance.
As another summertime pleasure, a Movie on the Hill event is coming from the Purdue Student Union Board, which is affiliated with PMU. The recent film "La La Land" (2016, comedy/drama/music, 128 minutes, PG-13) is to be shown at 10 p.m. July 21 on Slayter Hill. The event is free and open to the public. Concessions will be available for sale. Many people bring a blanket to spread out on the grass. In case of inclement weather, the film will be in Stewart Center's Fowler Hall.
