Faculty search committee workshops added

ADVANCE-Purdue is offering two more sessions of the "ADVANCE-Purdue/OVPEC Faculty Search Committee Workshop” in January and February.

The workshop, which is open to all faculty and required for serving on a search committee, will be held on the following days:

* Jan. 31 (W): 8:15 a.m.-noon, Purdue Memorial Union, West Faculty Lounge.

* Feb. 6 (T): 1:15-5 p.m. Purdue Memorial Union, East Faculty Lounge.

The workshop provides an interactive opportunity to explore and discuss search strategies and challenges. It is research-based and includes important information on unintentional bias. The workshop is conducted in a roundtable format that offers opportunity for an in-depth discussion of faculty search best practices with other faculty members across campus, including how to build a robust and diverse candidate pool.

Those faculty planning to attend can click the link to register for the workshop here.  https://purdue.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_80z1jbdgxHs8gkt

Those interested in being on search committees in the fall should register for one of these workshops.
