‘Why I Love WALC” video contest winners announced

Purdue University Libraries has announced the 2017 "Why I Love WALC" video contest winners.

The winning video was created by Cole Griffin, industrial design major, and Anna Magner, selling and sales management major. Second place went to Jake Heidecker, finance and supply chain management major. Third place was a tie between Jason Kelly, engineering major, and Matt Schnelker, computer information technology major.

First place will split the $1,000 prize. The second- and third-place finishers received $750 and $500 respectively. The winners were selected by the Undergraduate Student Libraries Council and were finalized by the Purdue Libraries associate deans, director of strategic communication and dean, James L. Mullins. Purdue Federal Credit Union supported the contest.

The videos will be featured on the libraries website and communication channels, and all awards distributed through the Division of Financial Aid.
