Accomplished Clerical Excellence program accepting applications

The Accomplished Clerical Excellence program is accepting applications through July 13 for those interested in enhancing clerical knowledge, skills and abilities.

ACE is available only to clerical staff members who have at least one consecutive year of Purdue service and have been in their current position at least six months. Each year a new class of participants begins their first semester together. Classes meet for two hours each week starting in September.

The ACE program is a two-year training program for benefits-eligible clerical staff on the Purdue West Lafayette campus. The participants meet weekly with content experts from the University staff to strengthen skills in personal and career development, communication and clerical and technological skill areas. This program is designed to provide continued education in job-related areas, provide opportunities to sharpen and/or develop new skills and prepare participants to accept greater responsibilities. ACE creates an environment where participants can exchange experiences and knowledge.

September 2018 will begin the program's 40th class. More than 880 staff members have participated in the program.

Applications are now being accepted and can be found on the Accomplished Clerical Excellence webpage. Additionally, a mailing about the program recently went to all clerical employees on the West Lafayette campus.

Questions about the program or application should be directed to Carrie Hanson, senior talent management specialist in Human Resources, at 765-494-7397 or carrie@purdue.edu.
