Grad students, postdocs invited to Scholarship of Engagement workshop

The Office of Engagement on April 24 will host the first Scholarship of Engagement workshop for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. The workshop will take place at 11:30 a.m. in Wilmeth Active Learning Center, Room 1018.

The two-hour program will cover a brief history of the scholarship of engagement, introduction to tools essential to the development of engagement programming, recommendations for measuring the impact of engagement and opportunities for engagement in academia.

The program was developed based on feedback received following a presentation on the Scholarship of Engagement made for the same audience interested in faculty positions.

The workshop is free, although preregistration is required as lunch will be provided.
