Human Resources highlights retirement planning tips, resources for National Retirement Security Week

National Retirement Security Week, Oct. 21-27, is the first congressionally endorsed national focus on the importance of saving for retirement, and Human Resources encourages employees to take a moment to reflect on personal retirement goals and determine whether they're on target to reach those goals.

As part of this year's efforts, favorite tips and resources are offered by the National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators to help faculty and staff increase their knowledge about retirement planning.

Targeted videos highlight different career stages along the retirement savings journey:

* Early career (Retirement is a Lot Like Planting a Garden)

* Mid-career (Caring for Your Garden)

* Late career (Feed Your Needs in Retirement)

Fidelity, Purdue’s retirement partner, offers additional retirement planning resources, including webcasts covering different real-life topics.

Webcasts on estate planning and creating a retirement income plan are coming up soon, and a schedule is available on the Fidelity Webcast Hub. Replays of previous webcasts on other saving and investing topics are also available. All webcasts are free, and employees do not need to have a Fidelity account to participate.

For assistance with maximizing retirement savings and other financial goals, make time to meet with a Fidelity representative or call Fidelity customer service at 800-343-0860.
