Ismail Center to offer CardioPump, Yoga/Pilates Fusion and yoga

Purdue's Ismail Center is offering eight-week sessions of CardioPump, Yoga/Pilates Fusion and yoga starting this month. The classes, which are open to the Purdue and Greater Lafayette communities, will meet at the Ismail Center in Lyles-Porter Hall, Room 1130.

CardioPump

The CardioPump group exercise class will start Monday (Oct. 15). Two separate classes will meet at 12:10-12:50 p.m. and 5:15-5:55 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. This 40-minute fun, energetic class promises to get participants' bodies moving to upbeat music. A combination of cardiovascular, muscular strength and endurance training will be performed at moderate to high intensity. All levels are welcome. The class costs $35 for Ismail Center members and $70 for nonmembers.

Yoga/Pilates Fusion

The Yoga/Pilates Fusion group exercise class will start Tuesday (Oct. 16). Class will meet at 5:15-5:55 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The class fuses the stretching, meditation, and calming of yoga with core strengthening Pilates moves. All levels are welcome. The class costs $35 for Ismail Center members and $70 for nonmembers.

Yoga

Starting Tuesday (Oct. 23), the center's two yoga class will meet at 11:10-11:50 a.m. and 12:10-12:50 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The class will combine the fundamental sequence of postures that are synchronized with the breath, aiding in the relaxation and purification of the body and leading to improved flexibility, joint mobility and balance. All levels are welcome. The class costs $35 for Ismail Center members and $70 for nonmembers.
