Purdue's IRB submission process making continued improvements

To meet the needs of our investigators, the Purdue IRB continues to enhance the services provided to the campus research community and to improve the protocol submission process.

Given investigator feedback, last fall the Institutional Review Board created an online submission portal (www.irb.purdue.edu) to provide a more user-friendly document submission process. The vast majority of researchers have opted to use the portal (versus the previous CoeusLite submission process) to submit protocol-related documents for IRB review.

Beginning immediately, the IRB will no longer accept submissions of documents via CoeusLite. Principal investigators (PIs) will continue to be able to access CoeusLite as an archival resource to view previously submitted protocols and access related documents (e.g., consent forms, recruitment documentation).

Clear directions on web portal submission of protocol materials are available on the IRB website. For instructions on how to view previously submitted IRB protocol documents in CoeusLite, visit this PDF file.

The IRB will continue to make enhancements and quality improvements. For questions about the submission process, members of the Purdue research community are encouraged to contact the IRB office at irb@purdue.edu or 765-494-5942.
