Butler Center’s ‘Did You Know?' series to focus on cultural centers

The Susan Bulkeley Butler Center for Leadership Excellence is continuing its "Did You Know? Information About Resources on Campus" series this semester. The next panel will focus on "Cultural Centers as Resources" on March 29.

The goal of this series is to share information about campus resources and enable a broader discussion of scholarship that addresses bias, inclusion and retention among all constituencies on campus. The series is intended to facilitate the success of faculty, staff and students, which in turn can contribute to the leadership pipeline.

This panel will feature the work of the Asian American and Asian Resource and Cultural Center (AAARCC), the Black Cultural Center (BCC), the Diversity Resource Office (DRO) and Latino Cultural Center (LCC). The four centers are deeply involved in facilitating mentoring and inclusion of students, staff and faculty on campus, especially underrepresented minorities. Each center will provide an overview of what it does and the resources it provides.

The panelists are Felica Ahasteen-Bryant, interim director, AAARCC; Renee Thomas, director, BCC; Carina Olaru, director, LCC; Carolyn Johnson, director, DRO.

The panel is set for noon-1:30 p.m. in Dauch Alumni Center. Registration is available here. Faculty, staff and students are welcome to attend.
