Purdue Farmers Market opening canceled due to inclement weather

The opening of the Purdue Farmers Market, originally scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday (May 2), has been postponed due to a forecast of inclement weather.

The market now is scheduled to return to the north end of Memorial Mall along Oval Drive on May 9 for the start of its 10th season. The market will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Thursday from May 9 through Aug. 1. Hours will extend from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Aug. 8 through Oct. 31. In general, the market will continue as scheduled in the event of rain, but it will be canceled in the event of severe weather. Schedule changes will be communicated through the Life@Purdue Twitter account.

More on the market is available in this Purdue Today story.
