Purdue United Way Campaign climbing toward goal

At the midpoint of the 2019 campaign, Purdue United Way is continuing to work toward its fundraising goal of $800,000. As of Wednesday (Oct. 9), the campaign had raised $392,948, or 49% of the goal.

Campaign leaders hope to reach this year’s goal by Nov. 20, which is the day of Purdue’s victory celebration.

This year’s overall campaign theme is “Building on Our Legacy.” This year, posters from previous campaigns over the last 25 years will be for sale for $5 while supplies last. To purchase a poster, contact Megan Eberly, director of Purdue United Way, at meberly@purdue.edu or 765-494-9240.

David Reingold, the Justin S. Morrill Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, is this year’s campaign chair. Gary Bertoline, dean of the Purdue Polytechnic Institute, is the vice chair.

The ePledge online pledge system continues this year. Donors can donate an unrestricted gift to the United Way of Greater Lafayette or can choose a specific UWGL agency for their donations. Gifts can be made through payroll deduction or as a one-time donation. For credit card transactions, the United Way of Greater Lafayette contracts with CyberSource, a trusted name in e-commerce meeting industry security standards.

A link to donate and more information about the United Way campaign can be found on the Purdue United Way website. Questions about the campaign can be directed to Eberly.
