Sarah Prater is the winner of the 2020 CSSAC Excellence Award, announced at the Dec. 8 meeting of the Campus Support Staff Advisory Committee.
Prater is an administrative assistant in Aerospace Studies, specifically for Air Force ROTC. Prater received a plaque and $1,500.
This annual award recognizes a benefits-eligible clerical staff member and a benefits-eligible service staff member who demonstrate excellence in job performance, conduct and leadership, and customer service. The award was created by CSSAC and is sponsored by the chief financial officer and treasurer and the provost.
Prater was nominated by Capt. Jordan Kirk, USAF and assistant professor of aerospace studies.
“Since joining Purdue’s Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) staff in 2013, Sarah has truly been the cornerstone of the department,” Kirk wrote in his nominating letter. “Through her professionalism and exemplary character, Ms. Prater serves as a leader and role model for the cadets and staff alike.”
