A Healthy Boiler workshop titled “Eating Well on a Budget” will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Nov. 12. Presented by Megan Shidler, registered dietitian at the Center for Healthy Living (CHL), the workshop aligns with the physical health and financial wellness pillars of the Healthy Boiler Program.

“Eating well certainly doesn’t have to break the bank,” Shidler says. “You’re invited to join us to learn tips and tricks to saving money on your grocery bill, while maximizing the quality of your food choices. We’ll discuss stocking your kitchen and which foods give you the most nutritional bang for your buck. Attendees will leave the workshop with a grocery shopping strategy, money-saving recipes and a grocery list for ideas.”

Those interested in attending should register by Nov. 11 via the Healthy Boiler Portal. The registration link can be found under the “Engage” tab, “Wellness Events” on the portal’s homepage.

Healthy Boiler workshops are free to all benefits-eligible faculty, staff and dependents covered on a Purdue health plan.
