Resources for student success, health and well-being relocated to the new Schleman Hall

Purdue’s Office of the Dean of Students (ODOS) provides resources to help students reach their fullest potential both in and out of the classroom. As this office has recently relocated, students are reminded to visit ODOS in the new Schleman Hall (formerly known as the Recitation Building) at 656 Oval Drive on the West Lafayette campus’s Memorial Mall. ODOS is located on the second floor. Business hours are 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

ODOS services housed in Schleman Hall consist of:

  • Student Legal Services (SLS): Aids undergraduate, graduate and professional Purdue students who have a legal issue. These issues include landlord/tenant disputes, criminal issues, power of attorney, traffic tickets, garnishment and collection matters, notary services, family law issues, name change, city or county ordinance violations, small claims and more.
    Email: sls@purdue.edu
  • Student Support Services (SSS): A referral source for students facing academic, personal or financial concerns. SSS facilitates the university’s excused class absence notifications and withdrawal processes and grants emergency loans.
    Email: odos@purdue.edu
  • Purdue Off-Campus Housing: Assists students with information and resources to make their off-campus living experience the best it can be.
    Email: offcampushousing@purdue.edu
  • Student Rights and Responsibilities (OSRR): Promotes responsibility and encourages honesty, integrity and respect among Purdue students. OSRR handles student and student organization conduct violations and administers the Conduct Conference process.
    Email: osrr@purdue.edu

ODOS, along with its campus partners, manages Student of Concern Reports and oversees an umbrella of nine specialized areas that empower, support and advocate for students in the classroom and beyond. For more on the services offered by ODOS, including information about scheduling appointments, please visit their website: https://www.purdue.edu/odos/. Faculty, staff or students who have concerns about a student’s behavior should submit a Student of Concern Report.
