WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue University announced today (April 21) that a search advisory committee will be formed to identify the next chancellor for Purdue Northwest to take on the role after Chancellor Thomas L. Keon’s term completes as scheduled in June 2024.
Keon has served as chancellor since 2016 when Purdue Northwest was formed by the unification of Purdue Calumet and Purdue North Central. Previously, he was chancellor of Purdue Calumet (2011-15) and chancellor-designate of Purdue Northwest (2015-16).
Keon’s leadership has centered on positioning Purdue Northwest as a key player in Northwest Indiana’s economic development, educational advancement, environmental sustainability and cultural enhancement.
The search committee will be announced at the end of the academic year. It will be chaired by Malcolm DeKryger, trustee of Purdue University, and staffed by Amy Boyle, Purdue associate vice president of human resources.
