MaPSAC awards professional development grants to 15 employees

The Management and Professional Staff Advisory Committee (MaPSAC) has awarded individual professional development grants to 15 management and professional staff members for the spring application cycle.

Grants up to $750 are made twice a year. MaPSAC awarded a total of $10,034 for its spring 2023 grants. The volunteer committee reviewed 41 eligible applications. The fall application period will open in September and will support activities occurring from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.

The grant recipients, their positions and the areas in which they work are:

  • Dan Bollock, operations Manager, Polytechnic Institute
  • Sherri Cripe, MESA School Bullying Prevention director, Agricultural Science Education and Communication
  • Molly Gilbert, associate director, Teaching and Learning Strategic Initiatives, Office of the Registrar
  • Anthony Gillund, director of sustainability, Campus Planning, Architecture and Sustainability
  • Kevin Jones, associate director of undergraduate education, Computer Science
  • Allison Keen, extension educator, 4-H Youth Development, Extension
  • Amanda Limiac, undergraduate teaching lab manager, Agricultural and Biological Engineering
  • Vincent Lobello, scenery construction supervisor, Theatre
  • James Monroe, food safety educator, Extension, Field Educators
  • Betsy Nelson, hazardous materials chemist, Environmental Health and Safety
  • Emily Sheetz, honors advisor, John Martinson Honors College
  • Anthony Sirk, costume shop manager, Theatre
  • Rachel Swank, licensing advisor/officer, Academic Services 
  • Alyssa Wagner, honors advisor, John Martinson Honors College
  • Weiwei Zhang, plant cell biologist, Botany and Plant Pathology
