On your mark, get set, go! Purdue Day of Giving Relay Run begins at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday

As part of the 10th annual Purdue Day of Giving on Wednesday (April 26), a campuswide relay run will take place to raise funds for student organizations.

The 20.23-mile run will begin at 12:15 p.m. at the corner of University Street and Stadium Avenue – with Purdue Pete leading the way.

Twenty student groups will be paired with a Purdue celebrity to run a mile. At 4 p.m., President Mung Chiang will run the last leg of the race, 1.23 miles, from near Hovde Hall to Memorial Mall. Any student, faculty, staff or member of the campus community is invited to join Chiang. Please register online.

A student celebration at Memorial Mall will begin upon the run’s conclusion, featuring “Giant Adventures” – a 20-foot-high stunt jump, zorb wars and an inflatable corn maze – plus lawn games, a 360-degree photo booth, food trucks and more.
