Several thousand Purdue faculty, staff, graduate student staff and retirees gathered May 25 on and around Memorial Mall to celebrate Spring Fling, the university’s annual employee appreciation event.
Entertainment, including karaoke, yard games, bingo and various activities kept attendees engaged throughout the afternoon.
Nearly 100 golfers took part in an outing hosted by the Ackerman-Allen golf course, and more than 700 individuals participated in the fitness walk. Those who completed the walk received a medal featuring Marc and Sharon Hagle Hall, home of Purdue Bands & Orchestras’ iconic Big Bass Drum.
Some 50 employees won door prizes at Spring Fling, and more than 200 employees volunteered to help make the event a success. To view the full list of volunteers and door prize winners, visit the Spring Fling website.
