News from Indianapolis

* Faculty and staff are invited to join in several events and activities taking place during Purdue’s new student orientation program, Boiler Gold Rush in Indianapolis (BGR Indy), from Aug. 13-17. We expect to welcome more than 800 new Boilermakers to Purdue University in Indianapolis during BGR Indy. Faculty and staff may indicate their attendance at any of these events by filling out this form by July 31.

• • Faculty and Staff Welcome Tunnel — Wednesday, Aug. 14, 9:30-10 a.m.: Join us in welcoming our incoming Boilermakers on Indiana Avenue as they enter the Madam Walker Legacy Center for our BGR Indy Opening Ceremony. We will form a welcome tunnel for students to walk through to celebrate their arrival and start of their Purdue experience. Further instructions will be shared via email closer to August.

• • BGR Academic College Welcomes — Thursday, Aug. 15, 3:30–5 p.m.: Join each academic college as they each welcome and introduce their new students to the College of Engineering, Purdue Polytechnic and College of Science. A confirmation email with location details will be shared with attendees closer to August.

• • Purdue Launch Party — Saturday, Aug. 17: Join us as we launch Purdue University in Indianapolis with all incoming and continuing students! This event will take place near campus at Military Park in White River State Park. This event promises to be an exciting time filled with tons of Purdue University spirit!
