Purdue alumnae take the stage for Krannert event in Indianapolis
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. —A panel of pioneering Purdue alumnae and businesswomen will keynote Krannert School of Management’s 17th annual Leadership Speakers Series on Sept. 28 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in Indianapolis.
Beth Brooke-Marciniak, vice chair of public policy at Ernst and Young, Linda Clement-Holmes, officer and advisor to the chairmen and CEO at Procter and Gamble, and Carolyn Woo, retired president and CEO of Catholic Relief Services, will engage in “A Conversation on Leadership” moderated by Gerry Dick, president and managing editor of Grow INdiana Media Ventures and host of “Inside Indiana Business with Gerry Dick.”
Several awards will be presented during the event, which begins at 6:30 p.m. In addition to serving as a panelist, Brooke-Marciniak will receive the Krannert Business Leadership Award.
Other alumni awards to be presented include:
* Distinguished Alumni Award: Rich Freeland, president and chief operating officer of Cummins.
* Distinguished Service Award: Bob Burlas, regional vice president and general manager of Pomeroy IT Solutions.
* John S. Day Distinguished Alumni Academic Service Award: Claude Perkins, president emeritus at Virginia Union University.
* Burton D. Morgan Entrepreneurship Award: Julie Wainwright, founder and chief executive officer of TheRealReal.
* Young Alumni Award: Gordana Radmilovic, senior manager of West Monroe Partners.
Along with the Krannert awards, the Boiler Business Exchange will induct its second class into its Business Hall of Fame.
Tickets for the dinner are available to the general public for $100 per person, $50 of which qualifies as a charitable donation. Specially priced tickets are available for Purdue faculty, staff and students. Tickets are available online or by calling 765-494-0901. Proceeds from the event go to Krannert undergraduate and graduate scholarships.
