Appointments, honors and activities

• Faculty and staff honors:

- The British Academy for the Humanities and Social Sciences has awarded Wendy Kline, the Dema G. Seelye Chair in the History of Medicine in Purdue’s Department of History, a visiting fellowship to support her research at Strathclyde University’s Centre for the Social History of Health and Healthcare in Scotland next fall.

• Alumni honors:

- S. Sriram, a 2004 graduate of the doctoral program in marketing at Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management, will be recognized at the inaugural Marketing Science Institute Scholar Conference in Breckenridge, Colorado, during a retreat July 30-August 2.  Sriram, a tenured associate professor of marketing at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, will join a select group of mid-career level academics for a multi-day retreat with the purpose of recognizing individuals’ excellence in scholarship, developing a cohort across marketing disciplines and strengthening ties between scholars and the institute.
