WBAA to celebrate 96 years with NPR host Steve Inskeep
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — WBAA, public radio at Purdue, will host a celebratory dinner featuring renowned journalist Steve Inskeep in honor of the station’s 96-year anniversary at 6 p.m. June 28 in the Purdue Memorial Union.
Inskeep is host of NPR’s “Morning Edition” and the podcast “Up First.” He’s a native of Carmel and has reported on issues around the world. In 2006, he received the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award from the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights in recognition of his 2005 NPR series “Oil Money Divides Nigeria.”
As Indiana’s oldest continuously operating radio station, WBAA public radio has served Purdue and Greater Lafayette since 1922.
