Navy F/A-18 Superhornets to do flyover before Purdue-Ohio State game

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Navy F/A-18 Superhornets are scheduled to do a flyerover at Purdue’s football game Saturday (Oct. 20) against visiting Ohio State in Ross-Ade Stadium.

The aircrew is from the Strike Fighter squadrons 22 and 113 in Lemoore, Calif. They recently returned from a seven-month combat deployment on the USS Theodore Roosevelt in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Of the crew, three of the six are Purdue graduates, commanders Bill Frank, Scott Sabau and Paul Shen. A fourth, Chris Vonderheide is a Lafayette Jefferson High School graduate.

The game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
