Appointments, honors and activities

• Faculty and staff honors:

- Shelley MacDermid Wadsworth, professor of human development and family studies and director of Purdue’s Center for Families and Military Family Research Institute, received the Felix Berardo Scholarship Award for Mentoring from the National Council on Family Relations during the group’s national conference on Nov. 10. MacDermid Wadsworth was recognized for her career of outstanding mentorship to junior colleagues, graduate students and undergraduates. (MO) 

• Rankings:

- Purdue University Global’s early childhood education program was ranked second by GreatValueColleges.net for its online bachelor’s degree. The ranking was created based on cost per credit hour, U.S. News & World Report ranking, customization options and unique features of the program. More information can be found here.

- Krannert School of Management was ranked No. 22 in Value Colleges’ 2019 ranking of the 50 best-value undergraduate business schools. Annual total costs and early career salaries were factors in the ranking. More information is online.
