Appointments, honors and activities

• Faculty and staff honors:

- Purdue claimed multiple awards during the recent American Advertising Federation of North Central Indiana’s annual ADDY Awards presentation on March 7. The awards honored creative excellence in advertising efforts during 2018. The Purdue areas recognized and their awards are Purdue University Development Office/Purdue Research Foundation, one gold, two silver and Best of Show Print (President’s Council Welcome Packet); Purdue University Health and Human Sciences, three silver and the Mosaic Award (HHS International Students Brochure); and Purdue University Marketing and Media, three gold, five silver, two Judge's Choice Awards (STAR Slideshow and Purdue Contemporary Dance Company Photography), and Best of Show Overall (Imprints Annual Report). Purdue students receiving ADDYs were Darya Maroz, Purdue University Northwest, one gold; and Tasha Bannon, Purdue University West Lafayette, one silver, one gold and Student Best of Show.  Kat Braz, Purdue Alumni Association, won the 2018 Presidential Cup Award for her contribution as ADDY Committee Chair for the past several years. Gold ADDY award winners advance automatically to the district competition in Rockford, Illinois.
