Purdue University Global launches Master of Science in Data Analytics; new program available tuition-free to ManTech employees
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Recognizing the rapid growth in demand for data analysts, Purdue University Global is launching a Master of Science in Data Analytics degree program. In addition to being offered to Purdue Global alumni beginning Wednesday (Sept. 22), this offering will be available tuition-free exclusively to ManTech employees as part of the university’s partnership with that government services contracting company.
The new program curriculum is designed to provide analytics experts and other domain professionals with advanced-level knowledge in data analytics skills. Students have the option of selecting a concentration in Amazon Web Services cloud technologies, information security and assurance, project management, or secure software development and quality assurance.
“With this partnership, we strive to add mission-critical programs to our curriculum in order to provide ManTech’s workforce with cutting-edge knowledge and skills that help position the organization to realize its vision and mission,” said Jeffrey Buck, Purdue Global vice president and dean of the School of Business and Information Technology. “As skilled tech professionals with data analysis expertise, ManTech employees will have the opportunity to make a difference by delivering best-in-class customer solutions.”
For ManTech employees, the new program is available with no individual out-of-pocket expense as part of the Purdue Global Advantage Tuition Grant initiative.
“ManTech is thrilled to offer our people access to this advanced analytics program,” said Julie Anna Barker, ManTech chief human resources officer. “Bringing digital to the mission requires in-depth knowledge of analytics for our customers in the defense, intelligence and federal civilian sectors.”
Purdue Global continues to work with ManTech in areas that serve the educational needs of ManTech employees. In addition to the Master of Science in Data Analytics degree, employees can choose to develop their career with a bachelor’s degree in analytics, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology or cybersecurity, or a bachelor’s degree in cloud computing and solutions. Employees also have access to cohort programs designed by Purdue Global and ManTech to help them prepare for the Certified Information Systems Security Professional and Certified Ethical Hacker examinations.
