Rebecca Sorenson was awarded the Gilman Scholarship to study abroad in France on the CIEE: Rennes – Liberal Arts program. France was a natural fit for this French minor. She looks forward to taking the final step to complete her French language journey: using French in authentic settings.

Where better for Rebecca to study abroad than in her favorite French city? Rennes in Brittany has speakers of Breton, a Celtic language, and just Northeast in Normandy is Mont Saint-Michel.

Upon returning from France, Rebecca is excited to get to support her peers as they apply to study abroad through collaborating with the Study Abroad Office on her follow-on project.
