See how close you are to earning your degree by chatting with an advisor, using our military cost estimator tool, or getting a quick review of your JST and civilian transcripts. You can also take advantage of Purdue Global’s stackable degree options where credits earned in our associate’s degree programs can be transferred into our bachelor’s degree programs.
Purdue Military Research Institute (PMRI)
PMRI offers no-cost, in-resident graduate education for active-duty US military officers from all branches, with a preference for PhD candidates, though master’s candidates are also welcome. The program aims to facilitate officer recruitment by matching qualified applicants with research and faculty opportunities, prioritizing STEM PhD candidates but also considering highly qualified MS candidates from other academic backgrounds based on service needs. The program allows up to three years for PhD completion and two years for MS completion.
Additionally, PMRI provides a Cadet/Midshipman Summer Undergraduate Research Program for Academy and Purdue ROTC students, modeled after Purdue’s Engineering SURF program but shorter in duration. This program also includes undergraduate veterans from other universities, such as those in the Veterans to Energy Careers (VTEC) initiative. The faculty exchange program aims to enhance mutual understanding, strengthen partnerships and build trust between PMRI and the services.
Office of Industry Partnerships – Military Educational Partnerships
Purdue University’s Office of Industry Partnerships (OIP) is industries’ portal to Purdue. They work with businesses, branches of the military, faculty, staff and students to create mutually beneficial partnerships that accelerate innovation and create lasting impact.
OIP helped bring about Purdue’s first education office within Vandenberg Space Force Base and established Purdue’s Military Advisory Board, a distinguished panel of experts and veterans who are brought together to devise creative solutions to enhance the educational experience of military-connected learners.
Whether you’re interested in forging partnerships, contributing to our initiatives or exploring opportunities, we welcome your involvement.
